Dave Perkal is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer, producer, and director whose work has been described as visually commanding, emotionally immersive, and cinematic in the truest sense. A member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 2011, he brings striking compositions, evocative lighting, and a cinematic scale to every project, while maintaining the intimate emotional resonance that keeps audiences connected to the story.
With experience across all three disciplines, Perkal understands what directors and producers need on set and in the edit: someone who thinks about schedule, budget, performance, and visual language simultaneously. That multi-disciplinary instinct makes him a deeper collaborator and a more intuitive creative partner.
He grew up splitting his time between Maui and California, experiences that shaped a lifelong eye for light, landscape, and the quiet drama of human interaction.
